The course is very practical and interactive, with lots of skills practice built in. It’s not a lecture.
Based on the book, The COACH Model for Christian Leaders, this workshop is made for those who are experienced as well as those who are not-so-experienced in coaching skills.
Over the course of 6 half-days, you will become familiar with the COACH Model® and use it to coach other participants. By the end of the course you will have the skills and the confidence to use coaching in your work and home contexts.

FACILITATORS
Kyle, ACC, was trained in coaching in 2016 and it has transformed not only his leadership, but also all of his relationships. He loves the way coaching brings out the potential in people. He believes that God has given each team and person a unique calling, along with gifts and talents that will help them live out that calling. Through coaching, Kyle enjoys coming alongside teams and individuals to draw out what God has put into them, and help them to fully live out that calling. Kyle has a Master of Ministry Degree in Organizational Leadership. He has served overseas as a missionary since 2007 and in different forms of leadership for the past 9 years. Most of his time is spent helping teams and individuals to be both healthy and effective in their ministry. He is recognized by the International Coach Federation as an Associate Certified Coach.
Tom has served overseas in missions since 2000 and officially trained to be a Life Coach in 2020; however, he has been coaching in various capacities for many years. He was a leader in a business capacity for several years after receiving his MBA, and then after further study, he became a church planter in Africa for nearly 20 years. Tom teaches, equips, counsels, and coaches individuals and various teams in the Middle East and South Asia. He is passionate about coaching others to become who God created them to be and do what God called them to do. Life Coaching complements his Biblical counseling training and pastoral soul care skills, enabling him to come alongside others, listen well, and empowering them to move forward. He enjoys partnering in the growth and development of leaders, those in transition, and other fellow life-long learners who are seeking to follow God using the talents and gifts He has given them.

Pre-Reading:
Please read "The Coach Model" book by Keith Webb before attending. Reading the book will significantly enhance your understanding and skill development. You can purchase it HERE.

Pursuing your professional coaching certification:
For ABWE personnel who wish to pursue their coaching certification through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) within the next 12 months, you will be refunded $100 to help towards the cost of this. The Coaching Mastery training can be taken through Creative Results Management.
